The Sick and the Healthcare Workers Jubilee Day at Infant Jesus Shrine

📰Jan 09, Thursday: The fifth day of the Infant Jesus Novena was a day filled with deep spirituality, devotion, and care as it was dedicated to Nurses and the Sick, under the theme “Turn Trials into Triumphs.” This special day emphasized resilience, hope, and the transformative power of faith in the face of adversity.  The day began with a series of masses celebrated in various languages, drawing large numbers of devotees. The multilingual celebrations allowed people from different backgrounds to participate fully, making the day inclusive and spiritually uplifting.

The Infant Jesus Shrine, in collaboration with Father Muller Medical Institutions, organized a blood donation camp to promote the noble cause of saving lives through blood donation. The event aimed to inspire the community to actively participate in this life-saving initiative. As part of the centenary celebrations of St. Thérèse’s canonization, Shrine inaugurated a special exhibition showcasing key events from her life and her remarkable journey of faith. The exhibition features handmade charts that also offer creative ideas for celebrating the upcoming Jubilee Year 2025.

One of the day’s highlights was the adoration and healing session, held immediately after the 10.30 a.m. mass. This sacred moment offered a unique opportunity for the sick and needy to pray for healing and peace. Many experienced a deep sense of comfort and hope as they knelt in prayer before the Blessed Sacrament, trusting in the intercession of Infant Jesus.  In the afternoon, a community lunch was prepared and served to the devotees.

The evening activities began with the 6.00 p.m. mass, which was followed by the Infant Jesus Rosary. The rosary was a deeply meditative experience, with devotees lifting their hearts in prayer. It was particularly moving to see many elderly and sickly individuals visit the shrine, braving their physical challenges to seek blessings. Their unwavering faith was a testament to the enduring hope that Infant Jesus inspires in His devotees.  Throughout the day, the shrine was a hub of prayer, reflection, and spiritual renewal.
