A landmark workshop led by Christian content creator Leo Victor unlocks the “hidden capabilities” of digital tools, thrilling participants with a new vision for evangelization.

MANGALURU — In a significant step toward bridging the gap between ancient spiritual tradition and the Fourth Industrial Revolution, a specialized one-day workshop on Artificial Intelligence was conducted for the Brothers Order of Discalced Carmelites (OCDS). The event, attended by eight brothers and their Spiritual Director, Fr. Deep Fernandes, marked a pivotal moment in how religious institutions are preparing to navigate and utilize the digital landscape.

For centuries, the Carmelite tradition has been defined by silence, contemplation, and the written word. However, this workshop underscored a growing realization within the Church: technology, when used ethically, can serve as a powerful amplifier for the Gospel. The intense, day-long session transformed the seminar hall into a digital laboratory, moving the participants from the role of passive observers of technology to active, informed creators.

A Unique Blend of Faith and Tech The technical sessions were helmed by Mr. Leo Victor, a renowned AI Evolution Mentor and Founder of AiLumina. Identifying himself as a “Christian content creator,” Mr. Victor brought a unique perspective that resonated deeply with the participants. His approach was not merely technical; it was a seamless blend of spiritual insight, corporate expertise, and practical application.

Addressing the gathering, Mr. Victor emphasized the urgency of digital literacy in modern leadership, noting his personal passion for training future Church leaders. He delivered a striking reminder regarding the professional landscape: “AI will not replace you, but a person knowing AI will replace you.” This mantra framed AI not as a threat, but as an essential companion for effective ministry.

Unlocking Hidden Capabilities The most profound takeaway for the participants was not just the existence of these tools, but the revelation of their true power. Many of the brothers had interacted with basic AI interfaces before, but the workshop exposed them to the “hidden capabilities” that lie beneath the surface.

“It was a fantastic experience,” shared one of the participating brothers. “We had used some of these tools before, but we were amazed to see how ‘right prompting’ can completely change the output. We realized that with the right approach, AI can be a ‘best companion’ in our ministry work, making us far more productive.”

The brothers were visibly thrilled as they moved beyond simple queries to complex workflows, realizing that the key to unlocking AI’s potential lay in the human element—the prompt.
