Jan 09, Fridy: The Infant Jesus Shrine, in collaboration with Father Muller Medical Institutions, organized a blood donation camp on Friday to promote voluntary blood donation and encourage community participation in saving lives.
The camp was formally inaugurated by Mr Anil Lobo, Chairman of MCC Bank, in the presence of Dr Kirana Piloor of Father Muller Medical College, Fr William Miranda of Carmel Jyothi Charitable Trust, Fr Melvin Dcunha, Superior of St Joseph’s Monastery, Fr Stifan Perera, Director of the Infant Jesus Shrine, and Mr Dolphy D’Souza.
Addressing the gathering, Mr Anil Lobo appreciated the Shrine’s efforts in fostering social responsibility through such humanitarian initiatives. Fr Melvin Dcunha expressed gratitude to the dignitaries.
The programme was compered by Fr. Jocy Siddakatte. The blood donation camp is being held over two days Friday and Saturday from 8.30 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. and is open to devotees and the public to participate in this noble cause, highlighting the importance of community efforts in saving lives and nurturing a spirit of generosity and care.
